Positive: The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with almost everything needed for a pleasant stay. The location is good, close to the bus station from which buses depart to most destinations. Negative: Communication with the staff, who are not present on site, is rather rigid. They are not flexible and it is not possible to enter the apartment before 3 PM. Considering that check-out is by 10 AM, they could be a bit more flexible. We landed in Tromsø at 9 AM and had to spend time around the city until 3 PM. There is a locker for luggage, but it is very small, and if another guest uses it there may not be enough space (there are several apartments).

Good location and a nice studio Positive: Good location with sea view, studio has all the equipment and appliance needed, staff reply very timely Negative: Water pressure is very low when showering, and there was a bad smell from the bathroom drained area all the time

Everything was OK Positive: The location was absolutely OK, you could be in the city center in 10 minutes. You had to go a bit up- or downwards when coming out of the building, but it wasn't a big deal even with all the snow and ice. By the way, if the keyboard for the code on the building's door doesn't seem to work, don't call the Norwegian number like we did, just open the door. :D The appartement had more or less everything one needs, actually you could tell that they really tried to think things through. The heating was OK after one adjusted the temperature (on the radiator). When we arrived it was set to 15 C and one window was open... The wardrobe did have shelves as well. We got 2x2 towels. (Just reacting to reviews I had read before...) On one night we could see the Northern lights from the window. :) /But they were of the weak sort which actually look (greenish-)grey in reality and only have colors on photos./ Negative: There was nothing we could not live with. However, the mattresses were the weakest point, some cheap spring mattresses, very 'springy', with the springs almost poking one's body. All 3 windows (one is actually a balcony door) had curtains in dark colors, but they did not make the room dark enough. What we really missed was a shelf or a caddy in the shower. The bathroom did have a sewer smell when we arrived, one has to run the water in the shower and it disappears.

Two nights in Tromso Positive: The apt was clean and easy enough to find and access. Negative: It was cold on arrival as a window had been left open and it was well below 0°c outside. Requested additional pillows as only one per bed supplied but was told none available. Same for a blanket although an extra heater was offered. The electric heater was wall mounted under the window behind the curtain when drawn but the sign on it stated that it should not be covered. An electric socket was hanging out on arrival but was repaired the next day after it was pointed out. Can't comment on the "staff" as there weren't any. All contact with the property is via messages and replies not immediate.
